Centered in Compassion

Anglican identity

At Western Province Preparatory School, our Anglican identity provides a steady and compassionate foundation for school life. Rooted in the Christian faith, it shapes our values, relationships, and approach to the formation of boys through worship and prayer, emphasising the virtues of the fruits of the Holy Spirit.

Furthermore, we are shaped and guided by the sacraments, the rhythm of worship, the Anglican liturgy, and celebrating the liturgical calendar (e.g. Ash Wednesday, Lent, Pentecost, Ascension, Epiphany, Advent). This foundation informs our ethos, leadership, and educational philosophy. Incidentally, it is also what inspires our desire to be welcoming and inclusive to all. While we welcome boys from all faiths, our foundation is distinctly Christian. This rhythm of prayer, reflection, and moral formation is not exclusionary; it is an invitation to all families to join us on a journey of shaping compassionate, reflective, and principled young men.

Pastoral Care

Our pastoral wellness program nurtures every student’s growth through a holistic approach. Guided by Servant Leadership principles, our House and Buddy systems foster belonging, connection, and peer support. We integrate Social and Emotional Learning to strengthen resilience, empathy, and self-awareness. Dedicated counselling and mentorship ensure personalized guidance, helping students navigate challenges and celebrate achievements. Together, we create a safe, supportive community where wellbeing and personal development thrive.
