Our Mission

Our mission as an independent Anglican school for boys is to instil our core values in each boy at WPPS whilst celebrating life and learning. Every boy is nurtured and developed through a real and relevant curriculum in a transformed environment grounded in teamwork, leadership, and educational excellence. We encourage participation and ignite 21st-century thinking. We strive to create curious, critical thinkers with grit and of good character.

Chairperson’s Welcome

As Chairperson of the Board of Governors, it is my privilege to welcome you to Western Province Preparatory School.

Since 1914, WPPS has stood on three enduring pillars: a school for boys, rooted in the Anglican tradition, and proudly independent. These foundations guide our vision – to inspire, empower, and raise boys of character who will grow into men of integrity, courage, and service.

Our mission is to provide a holistic education that is academically rigorous, spiritually grounded, and rich in opportunity – where learning is shaped not only in the classroom, but also through sport, culture, music, and friendships that last a lifetime. As a community, we remain faithful to our mission: to raise boys of character, integrity, and service.
