Engagement

Our Approach & Key Goals

At WPPS, our Community Engagement program is designed to help our boys connect with the world around them through meaningful service, relationship-building, and real-world learning experiences. By participating in acts of service, our boys develop empathy, patience, and a global perspective, while seeing firsthand the impact they can make on society.

The program encourages students to explore academic learning through a practical lens, connecting classroom knowledge to real-life issues. Boys engage with people from diverse backgrounds, gaining insight into social and environmental challenges and developing solution-focused thinking.

Age-appropriate and Grade-related Activities
Every grade participates in activities that align with the objectives of fostering contribution, empathy, and civic responsibility.
School-wide Initiatives
Our boys, alongside parents and teachers, actively contribute to broader community needs and respond to local crises through initiatives like Easter egg collections, blanket drives, sandwich-making for U-turn, and disaster relief pantries.
Recognising Historically Significant Events
To deepen appreciation for our country’s rich history and diversity, we integrate meaningful national observances such as Human Rights Day, Freedom Day, Mandela Day, Women’s Day, Youth Day, and the Day of Reconciliation into our learning programs.
Partnership with Zonnebloem
We collaborate with Zonnebloem to build meaningful, reciprocal relationships that allow for shared learning, resource exchange, and the implementation of best practices. Through Community Engagement, our boys grow into thoughtful, proactive, and socially conscious individuals, ready to contribute positively to society.
